I’m very lucky to live in a place that has some gorgeous rose bushes. This year, I had a few pale yellow and white roses bloom, so I had some fun taking some macro shots.

At this year's flower show, there was a wonderful butterfly dome. This particular butterfly decided red is the most flattering colour - and I think he's right!

There were many flowers at the Flower Show (funny that) but this one in particular caught my eye because of its lovely centre. And it just seemed to shine in the sunlight.

I just loved the petals on this flower, graduating from almost white to deep pink in the centre. In a word - lovely.

Madeira has some wonderful flowers. I particularly liked this one for its unusual shape and colour. But I really like the way the light has accentuated the pattern in the flower.

My brother has a wonderful garden - well, he should as a gardener! This is one of his beautiful poppies. I love the flecks of gold dust from the centre of the poppy. The bees were loving it too!

Superbloom was an experiment to have wildflowers growing in the moat at the Tower of London, in celebration of the Queen’s 70th jubilee.

When I went it, the poppies were just coming out - in all colours. A sight to see!

Along with poppies, there were all sorts of different wildflowers, including this lovely daisy.
