A glorious morning at Cardiff Castle, after a very wet day. The air was fresh and the reflections crisp.

A wonderful little stone circle - Gorsedd Stone Circle - right in the middle of Bute Park in Cardiff. Lovely to have the stones and the park more or less to myself on a quiet Sunday morning.

This is a gorgeous stretch of coast in North Cornwall on a beautiful Spring morning. The path shown is the coastal path that runs through North Cornwall. I could have spent all morning looking at this view ... I almost did!

Taken in Whitstable, UK, in May 2016.

Whitstable is a little town on the north coast of Kent. One of the most loveliest little seaside towns I've visited in the UK. This day was warm and sunny and not too busy. A perfect day for photos and strolling along by the sea.

A dock with a view

A dock with a view

Taken in the Lake District, UK, in April 2008.

I went on a week-long photography course to the Lake District in April 2008. While I wasn't that taken with the course or the instructors, we did manage to see some of the beautiful scenery in the Lake District.

This photo was taken on a visit to one of the many lakes dotted about, with a backdrop of the 'mountains' (hills to a Canadian!) - while the weather wasn't great, I still really like the photo.

This photo was taken at one of the old shale quarries. We were lucky to get sun that afternoon so had a chance to play with light and shadows. I love the different shapes of the shale in this photo too.

Star sunflower

Star sunflower

Taken in Bedfordshire, UK in August 2009.

It was a bright, if not sunny day as we walked through the fields near where my friend lives. We came across these sunflowers and one in particular seemed to cry out to have its photo taken. Voila!

Dove's house

Dove's house

Taken in Bedfordshire, UK in August 2009.

This is the Willington Dovecote, from the 16th century. It was a warm summer's day, but not without clouds (as usual in the UK!). The doves took flight and swooped round the top of the building. It was lovely to see that the doves were still using it after all this time.

Poppies in the field

These poppies were standing tall amongst all the wheat and grass, undaunted that they were outnumbered. Just soaking up the sunshine without a care in the world.

Beautiful bluebells

Beautiful bluebells

Taken at Ashridge Estate, in the UK in May 2016.

Every Spring, the UK forests erupt in bluebells. Ashridge Estate is no exception. It is a National Trust maintained estate with many walks through carpets of bluebells. A wonderful UK outing.
